A Personalized Approach to Prevention
Every patient brings a different health history, family history, lifestyle, and set of goals. Your preventive care should reflect that.

At Solace Primary Care, prevention starts with understanding your individual risk. I look at your medical history, family history, lifestyle, prior results, and health goals to determine what matters most now, what may warrant further evaluation, and what we should be thinking about next. From there, you’ll have a personalized prevention plan with clear recommendations for your health.

Every patient brings a different health history, family history, lifestyle, and set of goals. Your preventive care should reflect that.
At Solace Primary Care, we take the time to understand the complete picture—from your medical history and risk factors to your daily routines and long-term goals. Together, we’ll create a personalized prevention plan that evolves with you through every stage of life.

Early detection is one of the most effective ways to identify health risks before they become more serious conditions. At Solace Primary Care, we take a personalized approach to preventive medicine by considering your age, family history, personal risk factors, lifestyle, and health goals when recommending additional testing.

Advanced screening options may include:
-
Whole-body MRI
-
Coronary artery calcium (CAC) scoring
-
DEXA bone density screening
-
Advanced laboratory testing
-
Cardiovascular risk assessment
-
Metabolic health evaluation
-
Personalized cancer screening recommendations
-
Family history and genetic risk assessment

-
Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of illness, and many risk factors can be identified long before symptoms develop. Preventive care focuses on understanding your personal risk and creating a plan to protect your long-term cardiovascular health.
We look at your personal and family cardiac history, blood pressure trends over time, lipid and metabolic markers, and advanced testing like ApoB, Lp(a), or a coronary calcium score to get a clearer picture than a standard panel provides.

We evaluate:
-
Blood pressure
-
Cholesterol
-
Diabetes risk
-
Family history
-
Lifestyle habits
-
Weight & metabolic health
-
Blood work can reveal important changes long before symptoms develop. Preventive metabolic screening may include cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid function, iron studies, vitamin and nutrient testing, liver and kidney function, and other laboratory evaluations based on your age, medical history, and personal risk factors. Your results are reviewed together so you understand what they mean and how they fit into your overall health.

Including:
-
Prediabetes
-
Insulin resistance
-
Cholesterol
-
Fatty liver
-
Obesity
-
Weight management
-
Lifestyle counseling
-
Knowing your actual risk - not just your age - is the starting point. We calculate your lifetime breast cancer risk using your personal and family history, perform clinical breast exams as part of your regular care, and make sure your mammogram timeline fits your real risk profile rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule.
For most women at average risk, that means mammograms starting at 40 and clinical breast exams as part of regular visits before then. If your calculated lifetime risk is elevated, we'll talk through what additional or earlier screening looks like - and coordinate it directly.

This includes addressing:
-
Breast cancer screening
-
Mammograms
-
Family history
-
Genetic risk when appropriate
-
Breast concerns
-
Self-awareness
-
01 - Personalized Prevention
Recommendations tailored to your age, family history, lifestyle, and individual risk factors.
02 - Breast Cancer Risk
Lifetime breast cancer risk assessment to determine who benefits from early screening.
03 - Heart Health
Advanced lipid testing and coronary calcium scoring allowing you to look beyond a standard lipid panel.
04 - Bone Health
Earlier evaluation for those at increase risk especially during perimenopause.
05 - Early Detection
Find problems before they become symptoms. We focus on identifying disease at its earliest, most treatable stage.
06 - Lifestyle Counseling
Nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress are part of your care plan.
Why this looks different at Solace?

Why this looks different at Solace?
Your screening plan is built around your individual risk. Family history, age, hormones, labs, lifestyle, and personal history help determine what screening makes sense for you — and when.
Breast cancer risk goes beyond age alone. We calculate lifetime breast cancer risk using validated risk models to help determine whether earlier or supplemental screening should be considered.
Cardiovascular prevention can go beyond a standard cholesterol panel. Depending on your risk, testing may include ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, or a coronary artery calcium (CAC) score to build a more complete picture of cardiovascular risk.
Bone health is considered before it becomes a problem. Perimenopause and menopause can accelerate bone loss. When your individual risk warrants it, earlier DEXA screening may be appropriate.
Every result is put into context. We walk through what your numbers mean for you, how they fit into your overall health, and what—if anything—we should do next. Your personalized health plan evolves as your health changes.
Preventive Care That Goes Beyond the Annual Physical
Your age is only one factor in deciding what preventive care you need. Family history, previous pregnancies, medications, lifestyle, metabolic health, past results, and your individual risk factors can all change what I recommend.
Your Prevention Plan May Include
-
What screenings you need now
-
What can reasonably wait
-
Testing beyond routine labs when appropriate
-
Earlier screening based on family or personal history
-
Identifying risks worth addressing now
-
A plan for what we should follow next
